Apply for Recognition

Independent digital news platforms that meet the eligibility criteria are welcome to apply for recognition by INCoV.

The application process is straightforward and focused on confirming basic operational information only.

How It Works

Complete the online application form
Provide basic details about your outlet and content
Submit the application for review

Assessment Process

Applications are reviewed by the INCoV committee against the published criteria. Applicants may be contacted if clarification is required.

Administration Fee

A one-off $150 administration fee applies to approved applications. This fee supports the administrative and operational costs of running the Council.

What Happens Next

Notified of the outcome
Added to the public register
Provided with recognition branding for use on their platforms

Conduct Statement

Recognised outlets are expected to operate transparently and in good faith.

Recognition may be withdrawn where an outlet is found to misrepresent its operations, repeatedly publish demonstrably false information, or use recognition branding in a misleading way.
